Yearlings not well compared from last Wednesday. Compared to Saturday calf sale: best test on steer calves 550 to 599 lbs and 650 to 699 lbs mostly steady, heifer calves not well compared. Good to very good demand for yearlings today. Several strings of yearlings available along with individual loads and packages, most in moderate to moderate plus flesh with a few in heavy flesh. Moderate to good demand for calves which sold mostly in packages. The majority of the calves still coming off the cow. Slightly less flesh overall than on Saturday as these calves are competing with their cows for feed in the cold weather. Quite a few cancellations due to icy roads and high winds yesterday. An active market on yearlings, moderate to active on calves, a lighter attendance at the sale today mostly due to weather. Another round of snow expected for tomorrow with a winter weather advisory in effect. Next feeder cattle sale is Wednesday, December 17, this will be the last feeder cattle sale of 2025.
