Compared to last week: steer calves 500 to 649 lbs 2.00 to 4.00 lower, yearling steers 900 to 999 lbs steady to 3.00 higher. Heifer calves 450 to 499 lbs and 550 to 599 lbs unevenly steady, yearling heifers not well compared. Good to very good demand for both yearlings and calves. Still a few loads and strings of yearlings coming off grass which buyers are eager to purchase to fill pens. Yearlings from lots in varied flesh today, but most in moderate to moderate plus. A nice calf offering with quite a few loads of calves, as well as many packages. A few weaned consignments, but most calves were off the cow and preconditioned, consignments without good shots sold at the bottom of the price spread. Overall more flesh than seen last week with more calves which had seen some creep feed included in today's offering. An active market on both yearlings and calves, most of the interest in calves was from farmer feeders. Rain during the weekend has settled some of the dust and conditions the last couple days for this area have been very foggy. Next feeder cattle sale is Wednesday, November 13.
