Compared to last week: steers 800 to 849 lbs steady to 3.00 higher, 900 to 949 lbs mostly steady, 1000 to 1099 lbs 3.00 to 5.00 lower. Moderate to good demand for today's large yearling offering featuring strings, loads and many packages including many tested open heifers. A few cattle out of feed yards but the majority came off grass, flesh ranged from light to moderate plus, some heavy flesh at times. Quality varied more than last week, from plain to attractive. A moderate to active market with a few less buyers than last week, the normal crowd still in the seats. Buyers still interested in multiple loads but less loads at a time and less often than seen a few weeks ago. The futures complex had a positive day today. Warmer than normal temperatures expected this week and dry conditions. Next feeder cattle sale is Wednesday, September 18.
