Different weight classes of cattle today compared to last week so not possible to develop an accurate price trend, lower undertones noted on steers. Strings and loads made up most of today's offering with a few packages thrown in, mostly tested open heifers. Good to very good demand for the offering. Cattle came both off grass and out of yards, flesh ranged from light to some heavy. Quality more varied than last week, from plain to attractive. A moderate to active market with market most active on multiple loads of reputation cattle coming off grass. Rain across the area the beginning of this week again, timely rains are keeping grass and crop conditions looking good. Next feeder cattle sale is Wednesday, August 28.
