Compared to last week: best test on steers 900 to 949 lbs 3.00 to 4.00 lower. Best test on heifers 900 to 949 lbs mostly steady. Other weight classes of steers and heifers not well compared. Good to very good demand for loads and strings today, moderate to good demand for packages, many of these were home raised fall calves, most of which were weaned. Flesh varied, less flesh overall than seen last week. Quite a few big cattle again this week with many of them coming as producers sort cattle too big to go to grass. Quality similar to last week, mostly average to attractive. An active market seen for this offering. Scattered rain this past week but much of the corn is planted and cattle are out on grass. Next feeder cattle sale is Wednesday, May 29.
