Compared to last week: best test on steers 900 to 950 lbs mostly steady with an instance 4.00 higher, 951 to 1100 lbs 2.00 to 4.00 lower with instances up to 6.00 lower on 950 to 1000 lbs. Best test on heifers 600 to 650 lbs, 750 to 800 lbs and 900 to 950 lbs steady to 1.00 lower. Moderate to good demand for today's large offering featuring mostly strings and loads. Flesh today was somewhat divided with lighter, back grounding type cattle in light to moderate flesh and heavier finishing type cattle in moderate plus to heavy flesh. Quality mostly average to attractive this week. A moderate to active market for this offering. The area saw rain at the start of the week and some areas had heavy winds with some damage reported. This rain will most likely end the planting season as any remaining fields will probably be too wet to get into. Next feeder cattle sale is Wednesday, June 17.
