Compared to last week: steers 650 to 700 lbs steady to 2.00 lower, 701 to 850 lbs 6.00 to 10.00 lower, 851 to 1050 lbs 10.00 to 13.00 lower. Heifers 600 to 750 lbs 6.00 to 10.00 lower, 751 to 800 lbs not well compared today, 801 to 850 lbs 10.00 to 13.00 lower. Moderate demand for today's large offering of many packages, loads, and a few strings with best demand seen for cattle which were light and green enough to go to summer grass. Overall quality less attractive than last week with more plain to average quality cattle included in today's offering. Flesh condition varied, from light to heavy, and slick hided cattle in heavy flesh were met with light demand. A moderate market for today's offering with the variation and uncertainty of the futures markets putting pressure on the market today. Snowfall predicted for the area this evening which will affect producers trying to calve and make lots muddy again. Next feeder cattle sale is Wednesday, April 8.
