Compared to last week: best test on steers 950 to 999 lbs mostly steady. Heifers not well compared. Very good demand for today's offering of strings and loads. Flesh varied, from light to heavy, with about two thirds of the cattle coming off grass. Plenty of attractive cattle offered with multiple loads of the same weight class to fill pens. An active market, especially on grass cattle. Cooler weather than last week but still plenty of humidity making it more difficult to get hay put up, grass and crop conditions look good after rains last week. Next feeder cattle sale is Friday, August 8.
