First reported sale in recent weeks so an accurate price trend can not be established, higher undertones noted on steers. Very good demand for cattle today. Most of this offering sold in string and loads and came out of yards. Flesh varied, but mostly moderate to moderate plus with some heavy flesh at times. Most cattle were average to attractive in quality. An active market with most of the usual crowd of order buyers and a few internet buyers, quite a few opportunities to buy multiple loads of the same weight cattle which buyers took advantage of. Rain has been spotty in this area and its getting dry although crop and grass conditions still look good this week due to cooler weather. Next feeder cattle sale is Friday, July 25.
