Compared to last week: too few cattle and different weight classes last week and this week to develop an accurate price trend, steady undertones noted on steers under 750 lbs. Very good demand for packages and a handful of loads of home raised cattle in today's offering. Flesh was quite attractive, with most cattle in light to moderate flesh with some moderate plus flesh at times. Quite a few colored cattle in the offering, most of these in packages. Loads were attractive in quality and packages varied, but mostly average to attractive. An active market with plenty of interest in getting cattle bought, especially since the cold temps have broken. Next week shows temps in the 40's and some 50's, pretty good weather for the last week of February. Next feeder cattle sale is Friday, February 28.
