Compared to last week: best test on steers 550 to 599 lbs, 650 to 699 lbs, and 750 to 799 lbs 8.00 to 10.00 lower. Best test on heifers 600 to 699 lbs mostly steady. Good to very good demand for today's offering of feeder cattle which included a string of old crop yearlings and many packages and loads of calves. There was one family ranch consignment which included multiple loads of same weight, home raised cattle which were met with excellent demand. Cattle were average to attractive in quality and in mostly moderate to moderate plus flesh. Not very many big, finishing type cattle on offer today and more grass and backgrounding types. Cattle still sell on an active market but buyers are more cautious this week. A band of snow has started to fall across this area and a winter storm advisory is in effect until Saturday, so far travel has not been impacted and cattle were moving without issues.

Next feeder cattle sale is Friday, February 14.
