A lighter offering than last week with best test on steers 750 to 849 lbs 2.00 to 5.00 higher. Best test on heifers 600 to 649 lbs and 700 to 799 lbs mostly steady. Good to very good demand for today's offering which sold on an active market. Quite a few loads and many packages coming to town, the majority of the cattle were home raised. Flesh varied, but mostly moderate to moderate plus. Lots of attractive cattle to choose from, including quite a few colored cattle. Most of the cattle were clean and open haired as lots have gotten considerably better than a few weeks ago. Weather remains warm and dry which has been great for feeding cattle and also nice for producers starting to calve. Next feeder cattle sale is Friday, March 15.
