A couple strings and a handful of loads, mostly steers, made up the yearlings. Quality varied, but more plain to average yearlings today and carrying some flesh. Many packages and quite a few loads of calves, the majority were home raised and weaned. Flesh varied, but mostly moderate to moderate plus. Quality average to attractive with quite a few colored hides in the mix today. The push for grass calves has started and those calves with the potential to fit in those programs see very good demand. An active market for this offering. Much colder temperatures expected for the area next week. Next feeder cattle sale is Friday, January 12.
