Compared to last week: best test on steers 700 to 750 lbs and 800 to 850 lbs steady. Heifers too lightly tested today for comparison. Moderate to good demand for today's offering of mostly backgrounded steers sold in loads. Quality on these loads mostly average to attractive and in moderate to moderate plus flesh. Quite a few of these cattle would be able to go out to grass. A few home raised packages today, these were more plain to average in quality and in light to moderate flesh. A moderate to active market for this offering with mostly order buyers in the seats today. Next feeder cattle sale is next Friday, May 15, the annual Birthday Sale, starting at 8 am.
