No sale last week due to Thanksgiving. Compared to two weeks ago: steer calves 450 to 500 lbs 3.00 to 4.00 higher, 501 to 550 lbs not well tested today, 551 to 650 lbs steady to 3.00 higher. Heifer calves 500 to 550 lbs 3.00 to 5.00 higher, 551 to 650 lbs mostly steady. Best test on yearling steers 850 to 950 lbs mostly steady. Good demand for a long string of yearling steers offered today, moderate to good demand for packages and a couple loads. Yearling quality and flesh very similar to two weeks ago with most of the yearlings plain to average in quality and in mostly moderate plus flesh. Moderate to good demand for calves today with best demand seen for steer calves from reputation outfits selling in load lots. Varied quality on calves, from plain to attractive. Several weaned packages available today, weaned from 21 to 50 days, but the majority of the calves were off the cow. Several packages of calves with just a 7 way shot in the spring which sold at the bottom end of the price bracket. A moderate to active market for the offering. Lot conditions tough again with the large snowfall from last weekend. Farmers still struggling with corn harvest. Next feeder cattle sale in Friday, December 13.
