Best test on heifers 800 to 850 lbs mostly steady, 851 to 900 lbs 2.00 to 3.00 lower. Today's offering included feeder cattle, as well as weigh ups, bred cattle and some pairs, with roughly 3800 of the receipts being feeders. Moderate demand for today's feeder cattle offering of several strings, loads, and many packages with best demand seen for strings, especially for multiple loads of the same weight cattle. Flesh varied, but mostly moderate to moderate plus. Similar to the sale two weeks ago, quality on strings and loads more attractive than packages. A moderate market with good attendance of both order buyers and producers today, as many producers were interested in pairs and bred cattle. Another dismal day of losses on both live and feeder cattle futures put some pressure on the market today. Field work is going strong as farmers try to get as much as possible planted battling wet conditions and the lateness of the season. Next feeder cattle sale is next Friday, June 7.
