Compared to last week: steers from 450 lbs to 549 lbs were 20.00 to 30.00 higher with instances of 40.00 higher, steers from 600 lbs to 649 lbs were 8.00 to 12.00 higher; heifers calves from 500 lbs to 549 lbs were 15.00 to 25.00 higher, heifers from 600 lbs to 649 lbs were 6.00 to 8.00 higher. No other comparisons available. Limited number of yearlings for todays auctions, so no price comparisons available on the yearlings. A big run of calves today for todays special weaned calf sale. Most of the offering had been long time weaned, fully vaccinated and ready to go on full feed. A few consignments of calves coming right off the cow. An active market with internet buyers competing with order buyers and a few farmer feeders in the seats today. Flesh condition ranged from light flesh hay fed cattle to moderate plus coming out of a grow yard. Several weather related conciliations due to icy road conditions in the area. This is the last feeder cattle auction scheduled for 2025. Next feeder sale is scheduled for January 9, 2026. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
