Compared to last sale two weeks ago: Best test on steers 600 lbs to 649 lbs was steady to 2.00 lower, steers from 750 lbs to 899 lbs were steady to 2.00 higher with instances of 4.00 higher; best test on heifers 750 lbs to 799 lbs was 1.00 to 3.00 higher. No other weight classes comparable. Another large run of mostly backgrounded cattle that were fully vaccinated and relatively clean made them attractive to buyers. Good to very good demand for several long strings with good to moderate demand for part loads and packages. Several strings offered buyers the opportunity to put multiple loads of one owner cattle together, up to seven loads per consignment. Several consignments of reputation replacement heifers were well received. Mostly order buyers competing with internet buyers made for an active market. Flesh condition ranged from light fleshed hay fed cattle to moderate plus cattle coming out of grow yards. Next feeder sale is in two weeks, Friday, May 24, 2024.
