Compared to last week: Steers from 550 lbs to 649 lbs were generally 4.00 to 6.00 lower, steers from 650 lbs to 699 lbs and steers from 750 lbs to 799 lbs were mostly 6.00 to 10.00 higher; heifers from 450 lbs to 599 lbs were generally steady with stronger undertones, heifers from 650 lbs to 749 lbs were 6.00 to 10.00 higher. No other comparisons available. An active market with lots of buyers in the seats competing with internet buyers for todays sale. Flesh ranged from light fleshed hay fed to moderate plus back grounded cattle. The majority of todays sale had been fully vaccinated, long time weaned and were fairly clean. Warmer weather this past week has created some sloppy pen conditions. Several consignments that offered buyers full loads or multiple loads were meet with very good demand. Next sale in two weeks, February 9, 2024
