Compared to two weeks ago: limited comparisons on steers but overall generally steady with instances of 2.00 higher on 800 lbs to 849 lbs and steady to 2.00 lower on 950 lbs to 999 lbs. Heifers from 650 lbs to 949 lbs were steady to 4.00 lower. Good to very good demand for todays offering of mostly yearlings off grass. Plenty of cattle to chose from today as buyers cold purchase multiple loads of yearling steers or heifers from the same sort, or put part loads and packages together. An active market with the usual crowd of order buyers, a few farmer feeders and internet buyers today. The majority of the cattle were light fleshed coming off pasture with a few moderate plus coming out of grow yards. A few consignments of spring calves with a feature consignment of 118 black steer calves weighing 475 lbs bringing 3.56. Next feeder sale is scheduled for Friday, October 6th, expecting a large run of yearlings and spring born calves.
