Compared to last feeder sale two weeks ago: Steers from 550 lbs to 599 lbs were 4.00 to 8.00 lower, steers from 750 lbs to 799 lbs were 2.00 to 4.00 lower, steers from 850 lbs to 899 lbs were 6.00 to 8.00 lower, steers from 900 lbs to 949 lbs were steady with lower undertones noted. Heifers from 550 lbs to 849 lbs were 2.00 to 6.00 lower. No other comparisons available. Flesh condition ranged from light fleshed hay feed cattle to moderate plus back grounded cattle. Several long strings (up to 10 loads in one sort) from reputation producers offered buyers the opportunity to purchase multiple loads of one owner cattle. Plenty of part loads and packages for buyers to put full loads of similar cattle together. Very good demand for todays large offering of high quality feeder cattle and good demand for the replacement heifers. Replacement heifers continue to come to town due to drought conditions. A fairly active market with mostly order buyers in the seats and a few bidders on the internet. Next feeder sale will be in two weeks, expecting a very large run of high quality feeder cattle for the WLAC anniversary sale.
