Compared to last week: Steers from 500 lbs to 549 lbs were 8 .00 to 10.00 lower; Steers from 550 lbs to 599 lbs were 2.00 to 4.00 higher; steers from 600 lbs to 799 lbs were steady to 4.00 lower. Heifers from 550 lbs to 699 lbs were mostly 4.00 to 8.00 lower; Good demand for todays offering of fully pre-conditioned, mostly long time weaned cattle. Nearly the entire offering was home raised, had multiple rounds of vaccinations, a few consignments right off the cow. A fairly active market with best demand for the greener grass type cattle, and consignments of multiple loads of one owner cattle. Flesh varied from light to moderate. Much of the state was under a weather advisory and high wind warning causing several cancelations. The next sale will be Friday, January 21, 2022 Stay safe and eat beef
