The last feeder sale was three weeks ago: 750 lbs to 950 lbs steers were generally 8.00 to 10.00 higher; the 600 lbs to 650 lbs heifers were 6.00 to 8.00 higher; feeder heifers weighing from 700 lbs to 850 lbs were general 7.00 to 10.00 higher. Good to very good demand for the large offering of high quality feeder steers and heifers. Short grass conditions continue in the area and are forcing producers to move cattle off pastures earlier than planned. Most of the cattle today were light fleshed and attractive in condition as they were coming off dry, short pasture conditions. Some recent rain in the area with the moderate temperatures forecast for the next week should provide some temporary relief for producers in the vicinity. Several long strings enabled producers to put multiple loads of one owner cattle together. A fairly active market today as order buyers and farmer feeders were on the seats competing with internet bidders trying to procure livestock . The next feeder sale is July 30th, the 28th Annual Summer Yearling, Spring & Fall Calf & Weighup Sale. Stay Safe
