Compared to last sale: Feeder steer 8.00-11.00 higher, except for 600-700 pound and 900-1000 pound steer being 14.00-18.00 higher. Steer calves 5.00-10.00 higher. Steer calves 300-400 pounds 5.00 lower. Feeder heifers 3.00-6.00 higher. Heifer calves 2.00-5.00 higher with 600-800 pound weight classes bringing as much as 15.00-20.00 higher. The fall calf run has officially commenced, and this did not go unnoticed at today's sale. Calves weaned for over 60 days set and surpassed records at the barn. Calves with shorter weaning periods and those lacking at least one round of shots experienced a noticeable decline today. CME cattle feeder futures closed 5.8 higher.
