Compared to last sale: Feeder steer 5.00 higher, with the exception of 650-700 Lb steers 8.00 lower. Feeder heifers 1.00-4.00 higher, with 850 Lb heifers 13.00 higher. Steer and heifer calves were 8.00-10.00 higher today, with 400-450 Lb steers and 500 Lb steers and heifers as much as 20.00 higher. Demand remains robust, with new buyers from various regions competing for calves and feeders to transport northward and new sellers looking to capitalize on these historic prices. Quality ranged from average to attractive, with limited fancy drafts available. A notable surge in demand for unweaned calves was observed. CME cattle feeder futures closed up 5.8 today.
