As filed

Compared to two weeks ago, steers under 650 lbs sold 2.00 to 4.00 lower on a thin test. Over 650 lbs sold 1.00 to 5.00 higher. Most weights of heifers under 800 lbs sold steady to 3.00 higher except a smooth 600 lbs heifer sold 6.00 higher. Heifers over 800 lbs sold 2.00 to 5.00 lower. Demand was good from a light crowd of buyers. However, the internet was very active. Higher CME cattle boards and lower corn futures help push some weights of cattle a little higher. Dry conditions continue in eastern Nebraska with many producers and livestock owners hoping for a little moisture in the very near future. Quite a few farmers are doing spring tillage and fertilizing fields.
