Compared to two weeks ago steers sold unevenly steady and heifers sold steady to 3.00 lower. Demand was moderate to good throughout the sale. It appeared farmers decided to sell their bushels of corn at the elevator instead of feeding it through cattle as the bulk of Monday’s run was medium fleshed. Several sellers’ commented only a light growing ration in the bunks and the cattle showed the part. Next special Monday sale will be March 14th.
