Reporter comment USDA

As filed

Compared to last week bawling steer and heifer calves sold unevenly steady. Not enough feeder cattle for a market test. Demand was good from start to finish for all offerings. Internet was active for calves and feeder cattle. Springtime calves on offer due to drought conditions in the trade area. Fresh calves with spring vaccination programs living on mom's milk, dry grass and a great genetic pool. Several more calves on hand than early consignments stated. 500 head of slaughter cows and bulls included in the head count.
