As filed

Compared to last week steers sold 6.00 to 10.00 higher and heifers sold 3.00 to 6.00 higher. A large crowd of buyers bid readily from start to finish for top quality South Dakota and Nebraska ranched raised calves. Several load lots with some packages sold on the day and most had precondition shots. All calves came from very dry summer and fall grass pastures and most lots of cattle sold are weighing 35 to 50 lbs per head less than last year. Very large supply of slaughter cows and bulls sold on the day as ranchers have limited winter feed and all open cows, young and old are coming to town.
