Compared to last week, feeder cattle sold sharply lower on the day as the CME cattle boards were limit down on Wednesday. Steers under 600 lbs sold 2.00 to 3.00 lower with the feeder cattle trending 10.00 to 15.00 lower with some lots of 800 lbs and heavier steers 18.00 lower on the day. On comparable offerings of feeder heifers sold 10.00 to 15.00 lower. Wednesday's sale pace was slow as buyers were very selective most of the day. However, demand was good for replacement type heifers going to the breeding pasture this summer. Bidding and buying was very active from a large crowd of buyers on the internet.
