Compared to last week's light run of calves, this week's heavy supply of flyweight steers sold 8.00 to 10.00 higher other weights sold steady to 4.00 higher. Flyweight heifer calves sold 3.00 to 5.00 higher, over 500 lbs sold 6.00 to 10.00 higher. Large crowd of buyers bid readily from start to finish. Friday sale consisted of mostly bawling calves and most had precondition shots. Friday's offering came from the drought stricken three state areas. Some of Friday's offering would be selling a few weeks earlier than normal due to the feed shortage in the area. Quite a few load lots along with some packages sold in the run. Next Thursday Oct 8th special slaughter cow and bull auction, Friday Oct 9th will be special 41st anniversary sale expecting 7000 head of calves.
