Reporter comment USDA

As filed

Compared with two weeks ago 850 lbs steers sold 4.50 lower with 950 lbs steers selling sharply lower , 850 lbs heifers sold 1.00 lower with 800 lbs heifers selling sharply lower and harvest cows and bulls selling 2.00-3.00 lower. There was a moderate crowd on hand today for big strings and packages of yearling type calves coming off of grass as well as some pregged open heifers. Trade was good with demand being moderate due to the drop in the CME board. Crawford's next sale will be a special fall calf and yearling sale September 20.
