Compared to last week: Feeder steers 400-750 lbs. traded 7.00-12.00 higher, other weights not tested. Feeder heifers 400-700 lbs. sold 3.00-7.00 higher. Other weights not tested due to lack of numbers in light weight and heavy weight heifers in town this week. With a break in sub-zero weather many of the seats were occupied today. The market was active with the most activity in the steers as steer consignments were much larger than heifers. Several load lots of steers were available along with many small packages . Quality of calves ranged from plain to very attractive and flesh was mostly moderate. Total receipts today: 1796 . Next week will feature 350 bred cows and heifers along with the regular slaughter and feeder cattle.
