Compared to last week: A light run of feeder cattle this week, after a winter storm moved across the state yesterday. Feeder steers and heifers mostly steady, except those steers under 550 lbs sold with higher undertones. The offerings were reduced, yet there were still some long strings, including a full load of 945 lbs steers. The market was extremely active on those light cattle to background as they are getting harder and harder to find. The market on the feeding type cattle was active again as cash fed cattle market was up to 246.00 last week in the north. With the cash fed market being so high there is great demand for all classes of cattle. Next feeder cattle auction will be Feb. 26, 2025.
