Compared to last week: Steer and heifer calves under 500 lbs sharply lower on limited comparable weight tests. Steer calves 550-600 lbs 7.00 to 8.00 higher. Over 600 lbs 15.00 to 20.00 higher in spots. Heifer calves 500-600 lbs 1.00 to 6.00 higher. Over 600 lbs 7.00 to 8.00 higher. Good demand on this selection of high quality and uniform offering of mostly weaned calves. Very good demand on those with both rounds of vaccinations. Flesh considerably lighter with some moderate lots thrown in. Quite a few options for backgrounding buyers wanting to make a solid yearling. CME feeder cattle complex achieved substantial gains today with more and more support coming in feeder demand throughout the week.
