Reporter comment USDA

As filed

Compared to last week: Steer calves under 600 lbs 15.00 to 30.00 higher, over 600 lbs mostly steady. Heifer calves 10.00 to 20.00 higher. Good demand for this large offering of high quality, light to moderate fleshed steer and heifer calves. Many long strings, including full loads of these good western calves. The market was fairly active, in spite of the CME Live Cattle down 6.00 and Feeder Cattle contracts locked down the 9.25 daily limit. Cash fed cattle lower as well, 222.00 to 225.00. There was a lot of pressure on the market, yet buyers were still willing to give more money for these good light cattle this week. Next reported sale will be Nov. 20, 2025 expecting 4,500 feeder cattle.
