Compared to last week: Feeder steers under 600 lbs steady to firm, over 600 lbs 5.00 to 10.00 higher. Feeder heifers with steady to higher undertones, in a narrow comparison. Very good demand for this larger offering. Many long strings of high quality steers and heifers, in light to moderate flesh. Many replacement quality heifers in the offering, including full loads and many part loads. The market remains very active, especially on those cattle to grow into yearlings. Plenty of buyers for the replacement type heifers as there is a lot of optimism in the market. Cash fed cattle traded up to 186.00 today, and Live Cattle futures gained nearly 1.50 as the April contract moves closer to 190.00. Feeder cattle futures gained nearly 1.00, all these factors helped to create a very active market. Another large feeder cattle sale next week expecting 4,000 feeder cattle.
