Compared to last week: A much lighter offering of feeder cattle, difficult to make full price comparisons. Feeder steers and heifers sold with steady to higher undertones. Very good demand for steers and heifers, in spite of a down week in the futures contracts. There were a couple loads of 8 weight steers, the remainder of the offerings were small packages and part loads. Even though many cattle were offered in very small lots, that did not keep them from attaining top prices, as buyers had to compete heavily to get their grass cattle secured. The market was active, quality was attractive, flesh light to moderate.
