Compared to last week the numbers of feeders this week were not enough for a good comparison. Feeder steers 600 to 650 lbs. were 10.00 higher than last week. There is still buyer demand for the lighter weightsto go to grass this summer. A few strings of replacement heifers in todays offering. It seems that we are having less feeders at the recent sales and this may indicate that we are near the end of feeders coming to market. Many lighter weight calves were sold earlier this year and usually these would be retained and marketed in April and May. Most calves were in light to moderate plus flesh conditions.
