Todays receipts consisted of a few yearlings and the first big run of spring calves. Most calves coming in right off the cow. Compared to last week 550 to 650 lb.steers were 3.00 higher and 750 to 800 lb. steers were 2.00 higher. Feeder heifers 500 to 550 lbs. were 5.00 higher and 550 to 600 lb. heifers were 2.00 higher. Many nice strings of feeders in todays sale. The ground has frozen this week making it easier for buyers to place feeders in lots. The next sale will be on Wednesday Nov. 6.2019. There will also be feeder sale on Saturday Nov. 9,2019 Kist Livestock Auction plans on having two sales per week during the month of November to help sellers to move their feeder cattle to market due the wet fall conditions that existed this fall.
