Today Public Auction Yards hosted the annual Blue ribbon II. Demand was mostly good to very good for all cattle on offer. Ranchers were heavy buyers of bred cows this sale as much of the wintering cost have been covered by the consigner. Several complete dispersions were seen today and these offerings were met with very good demand. Bred heifers sold on very good demand. Many sets of heifers were home raised and these were met with the best demand. Additionally, larger framed heavier weigh heifers were also met with strong demand. Quality this sale was mostly attractive. Packer buyers helped keep prices for aged cows in line with higher slaughter cow prices. Market activity was mostly active today with a large crowd on hand actively bidding on offerings.
