Compared to last week: Feeder cattle were all too lightly tested to develop any market trend. Quality this sale was mostly plain to average. Demand was mostly moderate for light offerings as both quality and quantity of feeders limited demand. Cattle were offered in mostly very small packages or as singles. Market activity was mostly moderate this week. Weigh up cows sold on moderate to good demand for heavy offerings. Slaughter cows were sold mostly 2.00-5.00 lower on boning and lean cows, breaking cows sold steady to weak. Packers showed moderate demand for slaughter cows today, however demand for feeding cows was good to very good. Last week packers opted to slaughter most of the cow offering, where this week most cows were purchased to feed. Feeding cows sold unevenly steady from 1.00 lower to 1.00 higher. Slaughter bulls were too lightly tested last week to develop an accurate market trend, however lower undertones were noticed. Cow and bull quality was mostly attractive to very attractive again this week. Weigh up conditions were average to above average. Young age cows were too lightly tested last week to develop any market trend. Demand was stronger this week for young rebreed and feeding type cows as more takers were seen. Quality was average to attractive and overall better than last week.
