Compared to last week: Feeder steers and heifers were too lightly tested last week to develop an accurate market trend, however higher undertones were noticed on both steers and heifers. Quality this week was average to attractive. Most offerings were weaned 45-90 days. Offerings were offered in mostly small to moderate size packages. Only one load lot was seen this week. Market activity was mostly active this week with a good buyer pool seen both ringside as well as over the internet. Weigh up cows sold on moderate to good demand for light offerings. Slaughter cows sold steady to weak. Feeding cows sold steady to 1.00 higher. Slaughter bulls sold steady to weak. Feeding buyers showed very good demand for cows and helped hold prices near steady with last weeks market, but as buyers fill loads and exited the market cow prices slipped lower. Weigh up conditions were mostly average to below average this week. Young age cows sold on mostly light demand this week. Most of these offerings were purchased by feeding cow buyers as few takers were seen for this class of cows. Quality was mostly plain to average this week. Young age cows were too lightly tested last sale to develop any market trend.
