Compared to last sale(12-13-22): Feeder steers traded sharply higher in a narrow comparison. Feeder heifers were too lightly tested either this week or last sale to develop any accurate market trend. Quality this week was mostly plain to average. Outside of a couple large consignments feeders were offered in small packages. Most calves were weaned 45 to 100 days. Quality was the limiting factor this sale as buyers showed light demand for plainer quality calves. Market activity was mostly slow with a light buyer pool on hand for todays sale. Weigh up cows sold on mostly moderate to good demand and light to moderate offerings. Slaughter cows sold mostly 4.00-7.00 higher on boning and lean cows. Breaking cows were too lightly tested to develop any market trend. Feeding cows sold mostly 3.00-5.00 higher. Slaughter bulls sold 4.00-5.00 higher. Weigh up conditions were mostly average to below average this sale. Cow and bull quality was mostly average this week. Young age sold on mostly moderate demand this week. Quality was mostly average this week. Young age cows were too lightly tested last sale to develop an accurate market trend, higher undertones were noticed. Quality was mostly average this week.
