Compared to last sale: The last sale was two weeks ago and was very light for feeder offerings. All feeder steers and heifers were not well compared. Demand for feeder cattle was mostly moderate, with moderate to good demand seen at times. Quality this week was mostly attractive with several load lots in the offering. Many sets of cattle were developed for grass and were in thin to light flesh. Several buyers were on hand purchasing replacement heifers. demand for these offerings was mostly good. Overlapping demand between grass buyers and replacement buyers helped spur demand for heifers throughout the day. Market activity was mostly active today with many buyers actively bidding on offerings. Weigh up cows sold on mostly good demand for mostly light offerings. Packers showed good demand for slaughter cows this week as they purchased the majority of the cow offering for harvest. Slaughter cows sold mostly 3.00-7.00 higher on boning and lean cows. Breaking cows were too lightly tested to trend, as most of these offerings were purchased to feed. Packers were aggressive on high quality feeding offerings, however only a limited selection of cows were purchased to feed. Feeding cows sold 2.00-3.00 higher in a narrow comparison. Slaughter bulls sold mostly 3.00-4.00 higher. Young age cows suitable to feed or re-breed sold on mostly moderate demand again this week. Demand from feeding buyers continues to help support this class of cows. These offerings sold 2.00-3.00 higher than two weeks ago. Quality was average to attractive.
