Compared to last week: The best test for feeder steers and heifers was for 600-749 lbs which sold mostly 2.00-4.00 higher. Demand for all feeder cattle was moderate to good on light to moderate offerings. Cattle were in mostly light flesh and mostly purchased to develop into yearlings. Quality this sale was average to attractive. Market activity was moderate to active. Weigh up cows sold on mostly moderate to good demand for light offerings. Packers showed strong demand for cows to send directly to harvest. Slaughter cows sold mostly 2.00-4.00 higher. With packers pushing to secure offerings feeding buyers were forced to pay higher prices to secure supplies. Feeding cows sold mostly steady to 4.00 higher. Slaughter bulls sold mostly 2.00-4.00 higher. Good demand was seen for 2-3 year olds this week suitable to re-breed. These offerings sold higher as more buyers were actively purchasing these offerings as grass time nears.
