Compared to last week, steers and heifers sold mostly steady except for the 400-500 lb steers that sold 15.00-20.00 higher on a nice offering of those. However, the majority of the run consisted of several loads of yearling heifers and steers but also some fancy groups of calves. Demand was good to very good for a moderate supply. Cattle futures have been trading lower with some substantial losses over the last week or so but buyers seemed to pay no mind. Slaughter cows sold 2.00-5.00 lower except for lean cows selling steady.
