Compared to last week, steers and heifers sold steady to 10.00 lower but there were spots up to 15.00 lower on the 600-650 lb steers. Demand was good for a moderate supply. Calves are still selling very well despite cattle futures trading lower as buyers remain bullish on the fundamentals of a short supply with plenty of feed around. However, fed cattle have traded several dollars lower already this week, putting more negative pressure on the market. Slaughter cows sold steady to 3.00 lower.
