Compared to last week, steers and heifers sold mostly steady with spots 5.00 higher on the heifers. Demand was good for a moderate supply of calves and yearlings and another heavy supply of cows. One would have thought that hay season might have slowed the movement of cattle but it's dry and the market is good, so there has been little hint of a slowdown yet. Slaughter cows sold 2.00-5.00 lower when compared to the last reported cow market two weeks ago.
