The bulk of heifer sales were weighing 575-700 lbs and those sold a full 5.00-10.00 higher on a very active market, the remainder of heifers sold steady. Demand was good to very good for some reputation strings of long-weaned cattle with attractive weigh-ups. Despite the wet weather, a moderate supply was offered and producers were rewarded for their efforts taking the cattle through the winter. As we move further into spring the hard weaned cattle will begin to be much harder to find, so buyers took advantage of their opportunity. Slaughter cows and bulls sold 2.00-5.00 higher.
